Overview

A private UHNW family in New York is seeking a highly experienced, professional, and development-focused ROTA Nanny to support their household, with primary responsibility for their 13-month-old son and secondary support for their 6-year-old son. This is a fully staffed home, and the ideal candidate will be polished, proactive, and team-oriented, with a strong background in infant care and early childhood development. The family values a nanny who is engaging, attentive to developmental milestones, and able to provide a nurturing yet structured environment. This role requires discretion, flexibility, and a high level of professionalism, with a strong emphasis on initiative, attention to detail, and a genuine passion for childcare. The nanny will report directly to both parents, and there are no pets in the home.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide attentive, developmentally appropriate care for a 13-month-old child (primary focus)
  • Support routines including feeding, naps, dressing, and daily structure
  • Track and support developmental milestones through engaging, age-appropriate activities
  • Assist with care of a 6-year-old child as needed
  • Manage children’s laundry and maintain organization of bedrooms, nursery, and play areas
  • Provide evening coverage when parents have engagements
  • Travel with the family as needed (lighter during school year; moderate travel for summer/spring break)
  • Work collaboratively as a team within a fully staffed household (House Manager, Chef, Driver)
  • Uphold the highest level of discretion, professionalism, and confidentiality
  • Approximately 12-hour workdays during working period
  • No overnight care required — child sleeps through the night and parents handle overnight responsibilities
  • Flexibility required for schedule adjustments and family needs

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of verifiable infant experience in private homes (UHNW preferred), with demonstrated longevity
  • Strong knowledge of infant development and milestones; educational background in child development is a plus
  • Professional, polished, well-spoken, and warm, engaging, and hands-on with children
  • Flexible, adaptable, and team-oriented; comfortable in a fully staffed household
  • Valid passport and ability to travel; must have reliable transportation (no nearby train access)
  • English-speaking required
