About the Role
Family is seeking an experienced, proactive House Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of a private luxury residence in St. Helena, Napa Valley. This is a hands-on role for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a high-standards environment and can operate with discretion and independence.
This role is best suited for someone who naturally works independently, thinks a few steps ahead, and enjoys bringing order and polish to the home and property, overseeing the flow of daily needs and ensuring the property is always well-prepared.
A typical week includes a mix of household organization, light housekeeping & laundry, light food preparation including pantry and refrigerator management, vendor coordination & support. Some days may be quieter and focused on restocking, organizing, laundry, and communication with chef, gardener, winery team or vendors; other days may involve preparing the property for guests, assisting with setup and cleanup, or supporting harvest-related hospitality needs. The work naturally ebbs and flows, and the right person is comfortable adjusting priorities as the week unfolds.
The property includes multiple residences and a working vineyard and winery, so experience working on a larger property is important. This is a role for someone who enjoys managing details, notices what’s needed before being asked, and takes pride in creating a seamless experience for both household members and guests.
The target schedule would be around 30 hours per week, with flexibility. On-site days are Monday through Friday, with hours typically running 8am to 2pm (later on some days, depending on property visitor/vendor schedules). These working days allow for advance preparation for weekend family and guests, with the possibility of adding an extra day during busier periods.
