Lead Housekeeper
Location: Savannah, GAPosition Type: Full-Time, 12-Month Hourly StaffTravel: Less than 10%
Compensation: $40-$45 per hour plus health insurance, PTO, and annual bonus
Position Overview
A private household in Savannah is seeking a highly skilled Lead Housekeeper to oversee the smooth daily operation of the residence. This role includes full-charge housekeeping, light culinary support, household maintenance coordination, pet care, and occasional personal assistance.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, discreet, flexible, and experienced in maintaining high standards within a private home or luxury estate environment.
Primary Responsibilities Housekeeping
Perform thorough cleaning of all interior spaces (dusting, vacuuming, mopping, sanitizing)
Maintain organization and cleanliness throughout the residence
Laundry duties including washing, ironing, folding clothes and linens
Care for delicate materials and high-end fabrics according to specific care instructions
Cooking & Kitchen Support
Plan and prepare meals according to household dietary preferences
Maintain a well-stocked kitchen with necessary ingredients and supplies
Ability to cook a variety of cuisines, including occasional formal dining
Outdoor & Property Care
Maintain outdoor spaces including lawn care, gardening, and landscaping
Oversee pool area, outdoor furniture, and exterior structures
Coordinate with contractors for specialized maintenance needs
Personal Assistance
Assist with packing and unpacking for travel
Coordinate with external vendors
Care for one small dog (feeding, walking, cleanup)
Driving
Drive household members to appointments and engagements as needed
Maintain vehicles in clean and safe working condition
Maintenance
Conduct routine property inspections
Perform minor repairs or coordinate professional services when necessary
Hospitality
Assist with hosting guests
Greet visitors and ensure comfort
Coordinate vendors for events hosted at the residence
Qualifications
Prior experience in a private household or luxury estate
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion
Knowledge of household maintenance and safety procedures
Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
