Seeking 24/7 care from a Supportive NCS for our nights and a helpful PPD for our days – 16-week Contract for 24/7 NCS and PPD starting in July

Seeking 24/7 care from a Supportive NCS for our nights and a helpful PPD for our days

The Schedule:

• 2 candidates (potential for a 3rd)
• 12-hour Day Shifts (PPD) and 12-hour Night Shifts (NCS or PPD) x 7 shifts each per week OR
• Option to consider a 3rd candidate (PPD) for a 48 hr shift to allow 5 consecutive day and 5 consecutive day night shifts for the PPD and NCS
• Full-time support for 16 weeks
Start Date: Mid-July 2026, with one paid holding week prior to the due date in case the infant arrives early

The Child(ren):

One infant, due mid-July 2026
The parents are thoughtful, well-researched, and Montessori-aligned, with a holistic mindset during the newborn period

The Family:

Warm, kind, and private first-time parents with a very hands-on approach. The mother plans to be with the infant as much as possible and seeks a supportive presence comfortable to be on call as needed, more so than directing the plan. Communication is calm and respectful, and ideal professionals read cues well, knowing just when to step in and when to pull back and allow space and privacy. The father works outside the home during weekdays and is home evenings and weekends, where they will really value their parenting window together. This also allows ample downtime for candidates during both day and night shifts

The Role:

This is a blended Newborn Care Specialist / Postpartum Doula position. Responsibilities include:
• Calm, responsive newborn care aligned with Montessori and holistic values
• Supporting flexible sleep arrangements, including bassinet or co-sleeping, with strong knowledge of safe co-sleeping practices
• Overnight support provided from a separate den or suite; not in-room unless requested
• Shared tasks - All child and nursery related care, stocking, organization, bottles, pump parts, changing, feeding, laundry, bathing assistance
• Daytime PPD - Light simple meal prep for the mother during the week and simple dinners for both parents on weekends (e.g., baked salmon, roast chicken, grains, salads), light local errands during the day, etc. as requested and as time permits while the parents are full charge with the baby
• No driving, no swimming, no pets
• A housekeeper supports the home several days per week
• Potential light travel toward the end of the term; details would be discussed in advance

You:

You are warm, calm, empowering, accommodating, and easygoing, with a gentle, kind, soft presence that supports parental preferences while maintaining excellent boundaries, recognizing when to be busy or take advantage of downtime as parents have their bonding time with their baby
You are very open-minded around infant sleep practices, supportive of a highly involved mother, and comfortable working proactively and both jointly and/or independently as needed
Must be fully vaccinated (Tdap, MMR, COVID, flu) and first aid and CPR certified
Continued education in your field of practice is highly valued, though knowledge, warmth, and kindness rank equally high

The Pay & Benefits:

$45-$55 per hour
• Paid holding week in event of early arrival
• Weekly OMNY pass
• Meal stipend or groceries provided
• Private bedroom and en-suite bathroom
• Separate den for downtime during shifts
