Lovely principal is seeking a professional live-out Cook/Housekeeper for her Stamford, CT home. Responsibilities are cooking, grocery shopping, and meal preparation for lunch and dinner. The principal enjoys homestyle cooking, such as fried chicken, meatloaf, meatballs, soups, salads, sandwiches, etc. During the summer, the candidate will be in charge of preparing family-style meals for the principal's family (up to 6). Candidate will maintain inventory of daily foods and pantry staples, ensuring the kitchen is well-stocked with daily breakfast essentials, and maintaining the coffee machine. Candidate will also need to run errands as needed, polish silverware and regularly clean out the refrigerator/freezer. Will be responsible for the upkeep of the kitchen, which includes deep cleaning of the kitchen, wiping down surfaces and cabinets, cleaning the stove, sweeping and mopping the floor, etc. Candidate will supplement housekeeper on weekends and assist by making beds, cleaning bathrooms, and tidying up. Post-dinner cleanup is expected, ensuring a tidy & prepared kitchen for the next day's tasks. The candidate will support and work alongside staff to ensure that the home is maintained to the highest standards and is always guest ready. No pets in the home. Must be available for occasional travel to NYC. Must have valid driver's license and be willing to use own vehicle (mileage reimbursed). Schedule is Thursday to Monday from 11am to 8pm, but principal may be flexible with the working days. Your days off would be Tuesdays and Wednesdays. $DOE, health insurance stipend, 2 weeks PTO, sick days & major paid holidays.
