LIVE-IN NANNY FOR LOVELY FAMILY, BROOKLINE, MA

A professional, busy family in Brookline, MA is seeking a live-in Nanny to primarily support their toddler. The family has three children under 10 years old, though the primary focus of this role will be the youngest child.

Both parents have demanding careers, and they value structure, flexibility, and a calm, capable presence in their home. They are looking for a Nanny who enjoys being an active part of a busy household while also respecting family time and routines. There is another Nanny who cares for the two older children, the two Nannies may overlap support.

This is a long-term opportunity with travel, a supportive home environment, and strong communication between parents and caregiver

Responsibilities

  • Provide attentive, developmentally appropriate care for the toddler
  • Assist with morning routine beginning at 6:30 AM on weekdays to help children get out the door for school
  • Follow the child’s daily schedule (school from 8:30 AM–11:45 AM)
  • Prepare lunch and support nap routine (approximately 90 minutes daily)
  • Afternoon and early evening support from 3:00 PM–7:30 PM
  • Weekend coverage beginning around 7:30 AM through approximately 7:00 PM (with breaks during the day)
  • Provide bedtime assistance
  • Prepare children’s meals on weekends (family Chef does not work Saturdays and Sundays)
  • Travel with the family, during winter and summers (summers could be up to 3 months)
  • There is another Nanny who works Monday through Friday and supports the older children with school pick-up and activities. Wednesdays through Sundays, this role focuses primarily on the youngest child. Weekends involve collaboration with parents while all three children are home
  • No household cleaning or laundry required

Qualifications

  • Experience caring for toddlers and young children in a private home
  • Comfortable supporting structured routines and busy mornings
  • Warm, patient, creative and engaging personality
  • Flexible and comfortable with travel
  • Valid driver’s license (vehicle provided for work use)
  • Must have a personal vehicle for days off
  • Comfortable with a medium sized, friendly dog
  • College education is not required; experience and maturity are prioritized

Schedule: Wednesday–Sunday, off: Monday and Tuesday

Weekdays:

  • 6:30 AM start for morning routine
  • Midday downtime while child is in school
  • Afternoon/evening coverage until approximately 7:30 PM

Weekends:

  • Approximately 7:30 AM–7:00 PM with daytime break

Living Accommodations

  • Private, fully furnished walk-out lower-level suite with:
  • Separate bedroom
  • Private bathroom
  • Small living area
  • Microwave, air fryer, and Instapot (no stove)
  • Access to main kitchen
  • Nanny may live-in during working days and live-out on days off if preferred

Compensation and Benefits

  • $30–$40/hour DOE, with flexibility for candidates with extensive experience
  • 2 weeks paid vacation
  • Paid federal holidays and paid sick days
  • Payroll position (non-negotiable)
  • Assistance with state health insurance enrollment
  • Work vehicle provided during working hours
  • Relocation support open for the right candidate (preference for east coast-based candidates familiar with winter climate)
