 PRIMARY PURPOSE AND FUNCTION:

Under the direction of the Estate Manager, responsible for cleanliness and upkeep of the residence of the Property.

  • Full-Time
  • Beverly Hills and Malibu, CA
  • Some travel to other properties is required
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • No relocation is on offer: local candidates will be considered
  • Schedule: Typically, Monday-Friday, 5 days per week with flexibility. Nights and weekends are necessary when principal or VIPs are in residence

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for day-to-day cleanliness and upkeep of the residences at the Property, including the following functions:
    • Perform all housekeeping for residence, including daily tasks such as dusting, vacuuming, bathroom cleaning, general floor care and regular deep cleaning
    • Laundry of clothing and household items, including care of items requiring special treatment, such as fine linens
    • Sort clothing and linen, iron, fold, and distribute clean laundry; manage dry cleaning
    • Launder and iron fine linens as directed; make and maintain beds with clean linens and fresh bedding as needed
    • Furniture, accessories, fixtures and metalwork care and cleaning as necessary including dusting and polishing
    • Upholstery cleaning
    • Organizing and general straightening up
    • Houseplants and indoor greenery
    • Recycling, trash, and garbage removal
  • Responsible for organizing and planning as needed for ongoing residential housekeeping:
    • Inventory control and management
    • Organize and maintain various cleaning supplies and household stock items as necessary
    • Shopping as required for personal items, household supplies, and occasional groceries as necessary
    • Helping to maintain a comprehensive household inventory control list
    • Creating daily, weekly, monthly, seasonal and annual task lists
    • Contribute to the maintenance request log for the Property as necessary
  • Maintain appropriate housekeeping equipment and tools
  • Managing household maintenance requests, for example appliance repair and maintenance, organizing clean-ups or removals, obtaining estimates of work
  • Assist at parties and events at the Property
  • Assisting with various facets of preparing, moving and unpacking into a new residence
  • Occasional travel to work at other Properties
  • Other related duties upon request

SKILLS AND WORK HABITS / QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience working in large, multi-staffed homes
  • Experience with smart home systems and appliances
  • Must be professional in appearance and demeanor required at all times
  • Must be willing to work on weekends or holidays, as needed; however, work schedule is typically Monday to Friday
  • Be prompt and on time to all meetings, scheduled work and all timelines established by the Estate Manager
  • Organized, efficient, punctual, reliable, proactive, self-starter
  • Personable and able to work with various individuals effectively
  • Flexibility, integrity and creative problem-solving skills
  • Must have and express a positive approach to problems and situations that may arise

PHYSICAL DEMANDS and REQUIREMENTS:

  • Able to perform full-time active work in and around the residence and grounds
  • Ability to reach, bend, stoop, lift, carry, move typical household items, eg., full laundry basket
  • Able to use stairways, household ladder, or step stool
  • Ability to operate household laundry equipment, cleaning equipment, kitchen appliances
  • Able to use standard computer, telephone and related equipment for communication and recordkeeping
  • Able to provide limited on-call availability and responsiveness during non-business hours
  • Ability to travel without personal assistance
  • Must possess valid unrestricted driver’s license, adequate vehicle insurance coverage, and vehicle for use in performing job duties and travel among the Properties
  • May be expected to perform occasional work and responsibilities at other Properties
  • Compliance with the COVID-19 Vaccination Policy

COMPENSATION:

  • $45+ per hour | DOE
