Laundress (Beverly Hills, CA) LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY

Our client in Beverly Hills is looking for a TRUE LAUNDRESS –  Must have experience and excellent understanding of:  Steaming, spot removal, folding, repairs, wardrobe management, maintaining a log of all items going out/coming back, packing/unpacking,  all necessary specialized and standard equipment.  Flexibility is required, must be open to learn clients way of doing things with instructions from Housekeeping Manager, work well with a team.  Amazing opportunity for a qualified candidate.  This family is seeking a Laundress who will be satisfied doing laundry most shifts but also flexible enough to assist the housekeeping team as needed.

Duties include, but not limited to:

• Oversee the complete laundry process, including sorting, washing, ironing, folding, and organizing clothing and linens
• Apply specialized care for a variety of fabrics, guaranteeing proper handling and treatment to preserve the quality of garments and linens
• Read and interpret labels and determine correct cleaning protocol for laundry
• Knowledge of laundry household appliance usage
• Strip, make beds, gather soiled items, place towels, robes, etc.
• Collect, sort, and inspect laundry items
• Launder, de-lint, fold, hang and put away clothes
• Organize and maintain an extensive wardrobe, track inventory and ensure that clothing is readily accessible and in impeccable condition
• Work closely with other household staff members to maintain a harmonious and efficient working environment, contributing to the overall smooth operation of the residence
• Assist other Housekeepers as needed

This is a full-time position:

• Flexible schedule and shifts
• 10 am – 6:30 pm
• 5-day workweek, two days off in a row
• Flexibility to work at least one weekend day to meet the demands of the UHNWI's schedule
• Salary DOE
• Meal provided
• Uniforms provided
• $100/month stiped for cell phone
• The company pays 100% of the entire monthly healthcare premium for the employee. Dependents have access to the plan, but those premiums are paid by the employee

Requirements:

• Must have team-player attitude, no divas!
• Must have worked with a large staff in a residential/estate setting
• Must have expert knowledge with all laundry-related machinery
• Must have excellent past work references
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Laundress in a high-profile and similar capacity
