Executive Housekeeper

Agency Maison is conducting a search for an Executive Housekeeper of exceptional caliber.  Skilled, service-minded professional who brings both technical mastery and quiet authority to a warm, active private household.

This is not a traditional housekeeping role. The right candidate understands that true household excellence is equal parts craft, discretion, and anticipation.
 

You will be responsible for the overall presentation, cleanliness, and operational readiness of a private residence. Making sure that the home is always guest-ready, always immaculate, and always reflective of the principals' standards. The household includes two young children, a full-time nanny, and part-time grandparents in residence, and you will work collaboratively and warmly within that environment.

Two areas are of particular importance to the household: luxury laundry and fabric care, and household inventory management. Candidates with deep expertise in both will be given priority consideration.

  • Maintain immaculate condition across all areas of the residence — formal rooms, guest suites, private quarters, and kitchens
  • Execute deep cleaning to exacting standards, including care of fine furnishings, delicate surfaces, and architectural details
  • Ensure the home is consistently guest-ready through proactive daily and seasonal upkeep
  • Provide expert-level care for high-end wardrobes — including hand-washing, delicate treatment, stain management, steaming, pressing, and garment finishing
  • Demonstrate fluency across luxury textiles: silk, cashmere, linen, wool, couture, and specialty blends
  • Maintain wardrobe organization with an eye for presentation — seasonal rotation, closet systems, and travel packing and unpacking
  • Manage relationships with external dry cleaners, overseeing quality control and garment tracking
  • Ensure the longevity of each piece through correct handling, storage, and preservation protocols
  • Own all household inventory — cleaning supplies, linens, wardrobe items, pantry staples, and household essentials
  • Build and maintain structured inventory systems to eliminate both shortfalls and unnecessary over-ordering
  • Anticipate replenishment needs by monitoring usage patterns and seasonal demands
  • Source quality products — including eco-friendly and specialty items — aligned with household standards
  • Maintain precision organization across all storage areas, closets, and supply rooms
  • Maintain all pet areas with care and consistency — including litter changes, feeding, hay replenishment, and vacuuming of pet spaces
  • Candidates must be comfortable around rabbits and grass hay; allergy to either is a disqualifying factor and will be addressed explicitly during screening
  • Work comfortably and warmly alongside young children and coordinate closely with the household's full-time nanny
  • Welcome and accommodate part-time grandparents in residence with grace and discretion
  • Support light kitchen upkeep, pantry organization, and occasional meal prep as needed
  • Assist with errands, event preparation, and special projects as directed
  • Coordinate with vendors and service providers as required
 
  • 5+ years in private service, ideally within UHNW or formal residences
  • Demonstrated expertise in luxury laundry and garment preservation
  • Strong command of household inventory systems and supply management
  • Polished, detail-oriented, and quietly service-driven
  • Highly organized and proactive — anticipates needs without prompting
  • Warm and at ease in a household with children, extended family, and pets
  • Discreet, trustworthy, and experienced in confidential environments
