Position: Full-Time Housekeeper / Household Assistant

Location: Manhattan, NYC

Schedule: Monday–Friday, Full-Time (flexible schedule for the right candidate)

Compensation: $35–$45 per hour (DOE) plus potential for overtime and discretionary bonus

Position Overview

A private household in Manhattan is seeking a highly organized, proactive, full-time Housekeeper / Household Assistant to support the day-to-day care and organization of a private residence. This is a full-charge housekeeping role ideal for someone who takes pride in maintaining a polished, well-run home and can anticipate needs without constant direction.

The ideal candidate is confident managing household systems, experienced in garment care, and comfortable maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization within a private residence. The role may also include occasional errands, light administrative support related to the home, and general assistance to ensure the household runs smoothly.

Pets are present in the home, so candidates must be comfortable around animals.

Primary Responsibilities

Full-Charge Housekeeping

• Daily cleaning and maintenance of the residence
• Deep cleaning and maintaining high standards throughout the home
• Laundry and advanced garment care
• Wardrobe organization and maintenance
• Maintaining organized household systems and storage areas
• Anticipating household needs and taking initiative to address them

Household Support

• Running errands as needed
• Light upkeep of additional spaces associated with the household
• Keeping household supplies stocked and organized
• Supporting the overall daily flow of the home

Pet Care

• Assisting with basic care for household pets as needed during the workday
